Apparently I'm random on Fridays.

Hey All.

Look who finally made it to her bliggity blog today!

First up. Because all the cool kids are doing it...

You're welcome.

Secondly, Boomer had a biography project due in school today. They had to pick a historical figure and then put together a poster board presentation. On the poster board there was supposed to be a shape of something associated with their historical figure and 5+ thought bubbles with facts about this person.

Guys. How are our parents even alive?????

I wanted to rip out all my hair, cry, and do the project MYSELF. I know I'm supposed to let her learn things herself, but GOOD GOD. The facts that she chose were just so far out of left field. I stood there looking at her like....

Then she had the nerve to get mad at ME.

Do you know what happened next? Well I totally channeled my mother that's what happened.

'Listen here little girl. I'm already finished with school. I did elementary, junior high, high school, and college too. I don't need to do this work. I'm HELPING you.'
I shit you not, my mother said that word for word to me.

So basically. We all will eventually become our parents.

I'm scared of having children just because they grow up past pre-k stages and need help with homework. That terrifies me!

I was such a sassy smart ass growing up. I can only imagine how my kids are gonna be when I finally decide to birth one out the womb... Karma is going to totally turn me into my parents lol. Annnnd I love you even more for circling all the options for "favorite food" question haha! I would've done the same :) Have a great weekend girl!

I dread the day that I'm a parent and have to go through that with my children. Especially when they're going to be serial procrastinators like me and they'll be crying over all their work... like I once did. Man I was terrible!

I am.cracking up! I can actually hear my mom yelling at me when I was getting bitchy with her when she helped me with my 2nd grade dinosaur diorama. Poor you. Poor Boomer.
happy weekend!!! <3

I think I'm half Carrie/half Samantha. And I'm totally ok with that.

Baha! This made me laugh out loud. I find myself turning into my mom all the time, and I don't even have kids yet! What the heck is that about?!

Hahahaah @ turning into your mother! ;)
Yet another reason I don't want kids... I don't feel like doing homework EVER again. My kids would have to either be born brilliant or fail at school.

Hi Whitney! Newest follower here! Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I saw that you said "rub my head when I have a migraine" Do you get those a lot? Just wondering :( that sounds painful - maybe its triggered by an ingredient in food? (sorry, I am always analyzing food ingredients haha!) Anyways - hope you'll stop by and follow along with me and my little family in south FL.

xx

Oh God, I can envision that scene from my own childhood. And if were you, I would have already torn my hair out and given up, because I have no patience. I also don't know what Boomer's study habits are like in general. But... those times when I was whiny and got mad at my mom when she was trying to help with my work, it was work that was so, so, so dry and dull and unengaging that I wanted to rip my little kid hair out, too. Obviously, not all school is ever going to be fun, but... food for thought ;)
